It is hard to pass up colorful Mexican Talavera style pottery! The tradition started in Spain and was brought to Mexico in the 1500's. Over the years, the art has spread from the original Talavera region in Puebla, northward to a few select areas such as Dolores Hidalgo. Mexico does not lack for clay nor crafted artisans! Clay is kneaded, shaped, dried and then fired at extreme heat, cooled and glazed. After this first process, talented men and women hand paint the pieces, embodying the colorful Mexican culture onto a wide array of ceramic vases, planters, sinks, tiles, murals, kitchenware, animal figurines and more for use in your garden or home.

After a second firing, the pieces are ready to ship! Remember that each and every piece is unique, slight blemishes and all, and is crafted by an individual and not a machine! We have many patterns and are always adding more!
